Construction Update: John Evans' Sons, Inc.

The horse stables on 13th are well under way getting a new lease on life as an adaptive reuse project with an impressive overbuild designed to add additional units on the upper floors. The original plan called for 3 floors to be added to the 3 story building with 12 residential units.

The building stands just North of the wildly popular Cafe Lift and across from the sister restaurant Prohibition Taproom on 13th Street. The project is being built by Scope, and will add additional retail space to the 13th Street corridor leading up to Spring Garden. The owners have marketed the space for a small grocery store or something that better serves the community, a sort of daily stop in kind of place.
